NADCA Slashes Corporate Member Dues

Wheeling, IL, April 30, 2009 - As die casters continue to endure challenging times and make tough business and financial decisions, NADCA, The North American Die Casting Association, announces that the association has cut its corporate member dues by half.

As the economy moves from recession to recovery, NADCA appreciates that discounting membership dues is the best way to retain its position of advocacy for the die casting industry. It further understands that this is also the best means to be responsive to what the industry is experiencing.

"In reality, this move is the most relevant and timely level of support we can provide our member base" says Daniel L. Twarog the Associations' President. "Through offering our version of 'financial aid' our Board of Governors has been entirely responsive to the current economic climate, and demonstrates to our member base that we understand their financial situation."

Twarog adds, "NADCA will continue to offer the same high quality membership services it always has. We're now in our twentieth year as the leading die casting association, and we, just like most business are just finding ways to do more with less, to become a leaner operation."

NADCA acknowledges that discounting membership dues may also be a necessary retention measure. While some die casters have seen an increase in business activity due to sourcing returning to the U.S., a large portion of its member base still needs to weather the downturn. The significant discount in membership dues is not just extended to current or past corporate members, rather to all companies active in the die casting industry.

This isn't the first time NADCA has responded to the challenges facing so many businesses. Indeed, NADCA has been actively responding to the economy and its affects on its member base since the last quarter of 2008. In December, the Board announced the suspension of the marketing and research and development assessments in 2009, translating to more than 10% savings on dues.

Headquartered in Wheeling, IL, The North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) acts as the voice of the die casting industry, representing more than 3,100 individual and some 300 corporate members in the United States, Canada and Mexico. NADCA serves the industry by providing industry news, technical information, promotional activities, networking opportunities, publications and trade events. NADCA is committed to promoting industry awareness, domestic growth in the global marketplace and member exposure.
