To kick off our first newsletter, we’ll shine the spotlight on our VP GM, ANDY LEIBREICH.
As a kid, Andy would visit his family’s paperboard company, don a hardhat and learn in awe about the giant machines and how they worked. At age 10, he started earning money at the factory by sweeping floors. Through the years, he worked his way up through the ranks, finally arriving at Vice President/General Manager, by learning various aspects of the company. “You have to know how to run the machines before you can run the plant,” his dad would tell him. So Andy did just that. He learned how everything in the factory worked, came to manage machines and processes, and then the company and team. “N.A.L. has been a training aid for me my entire personal and professional life,” Andy said.

Our Corner Boards are in high demand and utilized to solve a wide range or packaging challenges, and as an added bonus, they’re safe for the environment-made from 100% recycled and recyclable fiber. Made by laminating recycled paperboard into rigid right-angle shape, Corner Boards provide edge protection, stability, load containment, and uniform weight distribution throughout the transportation and storage of the finished product.
At N.A.L., we’re always eager to make improvements. A while ago, we noticed a pattern in customers requesting a new product-one that would allow their packaging personnel to not have to hold a corner board in place while packing products together. Months of research and development were spent on adhesive backed corner boards, auto feed tape machines, and visiting different plants to help design a product for specific applications. The end result was a new, value added product that produces very little scrap, occupies less time, and is cost effective without producing safety issues or ergonomic hazards.
