Motion Computing Hires Vice President of Marketing


With more than 15 years of PC marketing experience, Mike Stinson will focus on developing complete solutions for highly mobile professionals in target vertical markets

Austin, TX, November 5, 2007 - Motion Computing®, a leader in mobile computing and wireless communications, today announced that Mike Stinson has joined the executive management team as vice president of marketing. Stinson will apply his PC marketing experience to drive international expansion, deepen vertical solution offerings and grow Motion's channel marketing program.

In his new role, Stinson will oversee domestic and international corporate communications, product marketing and channel marketing programs. Working with the executive staff, as well as the sales and marketing teams, he will be responsible for further developing Motion's vertical specialization of solutions targeted to healthcare, government, and field sales and service. Additionally, Stinson will work to support the expansion of Motion(TM) Mobility Services, building targeted programs to help Motion optimize mobile workforce productivity.

Prior to joining Motion, Stinson was the founder of Sabio Digital, a company focused on sourcing notebooks from Asian manufacturers into the white-box channel in the US. Prior to that, he was the VP/GM for mobile products at Gateway, where he was responsible for annual sales of approximately $700M. Stinson also served as the VP of product marketing for Toshiba America and held product roles at Dell.

Stinson earned a master's of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's in finance from the University of Colorado.
