Elk River, MN – Have you ever wondered what happens inside manufacturing plants? During the month of October, you can see for yourself during the Dream It. Do It. Statewide Tour of Manufacturing. During the statewide event, businesses open their doors for tours during Minnesota Manufacturing Week.
Metal Craft Riversidewill be open Tuesday, October 6th from 2:00 to Â7:00pm and invites the public, including families, job seekers, schools and community groups, to learn firstÂhand how people make the things we use every day.
Minnesota manufacturers make snowmobiles, construction equipment, airplane parts, military technology, lifeÂsaving medical devices, baseball bats and wooden toys, just to name a few.
Manufacturing is the backbone of Minnesota’s economy. According to the Department of Employment and Economic Development, the industry impacts over 30% of Minnesota jobs.
This tour is part of Dream It. Do It. Statewide Tour of Manufacturing, led by the 360 Manufacturing Center of Excellence. The statewide tour is supported by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minnesota Manufacturers’ Association, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, Pro Staff, Ware Technology and TriÂState Manufacturers’ Association.
