McNichols Opens Brand New Service Center in Kansas City


New location in Lenexa is third major expansion for company, serves growing customer base in Midwest

TAMPA, FL - August 18, 2008 - McNichols Company today announces the grand opening of its newest service center near Kansas City, Kansas. The newly constructed 24,000 sq. ft. facility in suburban Lenexa allows the company to increase its fabrication services, offer an expanded inventory, and accommodate future growth for its customers in the Midwest. The location is the eighteenth service center for the company.

McNichols, a family-owned and operated nationwide network of metal service centers, is the nation's leading supplier of metal and fiberglass products with holes, serving domestic and international markets. This is the third major expansion this year for the $200 million company. McNichols' relocated its Boston-area facility to an expanded location and added 11,000 square feet to its Tampa facility in May.

The service center will be managed by Juan Medina, formerly Operations Manager for McNichols' international facility in Monterrey, Mexico.

Approximately 12,000 sq. ft. have been dedicated to fabrication services, which can produce a variety of value-added processes like plasma cutting, saw cutting, welding, and shearing. The location will serve key industrial customers in the Midwest.
