MBK Expands Production and Warehouse Space
Enhances Converting Capabilities and Capacity
Chatsworth, CAÂ – To support the growing business, MBK Tape Solutions expanded their existing warehouse and added a new die-cutting press and slitting machine. Installing a mezzanine to the two-story building, increased floor space and storage and the new converting equipment amplified MBK’s die cutting and slitting capabilities. With the expansion, processes are more productive and efficient.
The new state of the art 16" wide Rotary Die Cutting Press produces highly technical intricate die cuts and can register in conjunction with print media. It provides MBK the ability to re-register complex and multi-stage die cuts while holding extremely tight tolerances. Island placement is now possible allowing pin-point accuracy while running parts through the web, particularly useful for multi-layer wound care and other medical parts. “We are excited to have this new Rotary Press to improve our position in the converter world plus supporting our growth by increasing productivity and capacity,” commented Jason Zajac, Vice-President of Sales.
MBK also added a new single knife slitter for custom slit roll goods. The new state of the art single knife slitter not only adds capacity but greatly enhanced precision.
Business growth concerns were solved by adding the second story mezzanine. Roughly 20% more warehousing and floor space increased the capacity for stocking jumbo rolls of material while making room for the new automated converting equipment. This is a win-win situation for MBK and its valued customers.
