Makita Announces Grand Prize Winner Of Full Throttle(TM) Sweepstakes
October 3, 2005 - La Mirada, Calif. - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, is excited to announce the winners of its national Full Throttle(TM) Sweepstakes. One Grand Prize winner and two First Prize winners were chosen. The Grand Prize winner, Rebecca Collins of Huntington Beach, California, won the Ultimate Racing Package consisting of a Weekend Warrior® toy hauler and a Suzuki® 4-Pack consisting of a RM-250, RM-Z450, Quadsport 400Z and Quadsport 250Z. The First Prize winners Corey Okamoto of San Diego, California and James Hein of Miramar, Florida will experience an all-expense paid trip for two to Carmichael MX Kamp with the newly crowned six-time AMA MX Champion Ricky Carmichael plus they will get a Suzuki RM-250 and $1,000 spending cash.
Rebecca Collins entered into the Full Throttle Sweepstakes after visiting her local Makita Dealer. She is the wife of a general contractor with about 20 employees who uses Makita power tools on a daily basis and her entire family are huge Supercross and Ricky Carmichael fans. Okamoto, who works for the U.S. Navy and Hein, who is an electrician both entered to win through Makita's Text-to-Win program supported by NEXTEL(TM).
