MachineTek Expands Operations in Carlsbad, CA
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA —Â MachineTek LLC recently completed a 6,000 sq. ft. expansion to its production area, almost a fifty percent increase in climate-controlled square footage dedicated to precision profiling, heat forming, bonding and potting of honeycomb and foam core material.
Don Firm, MachineTek’s Chief Operating Officer, stated “This facility expansion is in response to continued high demand for precision honeycomb component fabrication in the U.S. aerospace composite industry. Given the recent increase in order volume, this additional capacity will allow MachineTek to meet current demand and accommodate anticipated near-term order intake.”
MachineTek’s modern 21,000 square foot facility in Carlsbad includes areas dedicated to production, inspection, engineering, and administration. Landscaping has been converted to incorporate water-saving elements and all interior and exterior lighting has been retrofitted to utilize high-efficiency lighting technologies.
