Livingston Presents Ground-Breaking New Universal OTN Test Solution

Test equipment sourcing specialist Livingston has further underlined its commitment to continued innovation by adding Anritsu's all-in-one optical network field tester to its expansive portfolio of rental products. The recently released MT1000A Network Master Pro is a compact, highly portable device that is optimised for carrying out comprehensive field testing on optical transport network (OTN) infrastructure. It can deal with the multiple communications protocols now being incorporated into modern telecommunications technology. When accompanied by Anritsu's MU100010A multi-rate module, it has the capacity necessary for testing 10Gbit/s network protocols, such as 10G Ethernet and Fibre Channel, as well as SDH/SONET. It also supports the latest OTN functions, such as ODU0 and ODUflex, plus legacy PDH and DSn interfaces.
The unit has a 9-inch, 800×480 pixel resolution TFT display with built-in touchscreen. Through it field test operatives have access to a highly intuitive user interface that is quick and simple to navigate around, with a logical structure and self-explanatory graphical symbols. This helps to minimise the possibility of errors occurring and shortens the time required for training. Test data can be transferred via the MT1000A's USB, WLAN and Bluetooth interconnects. Reports can be generated in PDF or XML formats.
