Jan Weier Received Vindmølleindustrien's Talent Award 2011

The Danish professional trade organisation Vindmølleindustrien ("Wind Power Industry") has selected Jan Weier, Key Account Manager at Sapa Profiles Denmark, as recipient of their Talent Award 2011 in the category for smaller companies.
Jan has been selected on the basis of his efforts to introduce intelligent use of aluminium profiles in the windpower industry.
The jury stated their reasons for choosing Jan:
"With his strong will Jan Weier has made a difference through the development of a strong international cooperation with new customers in the industry, among others Vestas.
He is an ambitious entrepreneur who always strives to be the best. For Jan it is a must to think big and global which has lead to international contacts, including a global account at Vestas Wind Systems."
The award was presented at 'Vindmølleindustrien's annual meeting last Thursday in Aar-hus, Denmark. In addition to the honour Jan may choose leadership training for 30.000 DKK at CfL Danish Centre for Leadership.
Several Danish OEM's were represented at a CEO level, for instance Ditlev Engel, CEO of Vestas and Jens Peter Saul, CEO of Siemens. Also a range of prominent politicians and members of the Danish government, among others Lykke Friis, Minister of Climate and Energy and Brian Mikkelsen, Minister of Economic and Business Affairs.

Vindmølleindustrien is a professional trade organisation with more than 240 members. The trade organisation includes wind turbine manufacturers as well as energy companies and a large range of subcontractors delivering components, service and consultancy in the industry.
