November 15, 2012 - IPC and SMTA announced agenda for Session 8 of High-Reliability Cleaning and Coating Conference. Environmental Standards and Regulations session will provide insight into Ozone Transport Commission’s move to legislate reduction of VOCs in densely populated states in the Northeast. Presentations will be given on EPA’s Design for the Environment developed to reduce hazards posed by chemicals used within the work space, REACH, RoHS2, SVHC, and Conflict Minerals and how they affect assembly business.

Session 8 Agenda Announced for the High-Reliability Cleaning and Coating Conference

The Environmental Standards and Regulations session will provide insight into the Ozone Transport Commission’s (OTC) move to legislate the reduction of volatile organic carbons (VOCs) in densely populated states located in the Northeast. Additionally, presentations will be given on EPA’s Design for the Environment developed to reduce hazards posed by chemicals used within the work space, REACH, RoHS2, SVHC and Conflict Minerals and how they affect the assembly business, and on alternative conformal coating solutions that reduce toxicity while keeping an optimal level of quality and sustainability.
The Environmental Standards and Regulations session will be chaired by Lee Wilmot of TTM Technologies. The speakers and topics are as follows:
