inStream Selects Omnico Group as Partner of Choice for Its New Interactive Digital eReceipts Marketing Solution

Press release date: May 19, 2014

Omnico and inStream partnership provides innovative way for retailers to drive sales and build customer loyalty after the sale

DULUTH, Ga. – Omnico Group today announced inStream has selected its Agile Data software as a core component of inStream's new Interactive Digital eReceipts marketing solution. In addition, inStream has teamed with Omnico's Point-of-Sale (POS) development group to add the necessary cashier, consumer, and technology interfaces to inStream's specifications.

"Every digital receipt communication with a consumer provides the opportunity not only to deliver a sales receipt, but also targeted content and offers to build shopper loyalty and drive sales," said Ann Raider, president and CEO of inStream. "inStream and Omnico share this unique Interactive Digital eReceipts vision of offering retailers the ability to engage consumers beyond the sale with real-time, targeted offers to enhance their shopping experience in-store and online."

As a leader in this field, inStream is the only company to deliver a comprehensive solution to provide proof of purchase, in printed or digital format, that also utilizes this shopper contact as a unique marketing opportunity. By taking this special approach, inStream's Interactive Digital eReceipts solution not only builds a retailer's email and mobile phone database as it enhances targeting accuracy, it also enables retailers to place personalized messaging or digital coupons within a customer's eReceipts email. Customers can then be directed to web destinations of the retailer's choice such as an ecommerce site, social media page, or to print a coupon to take back to the store.

inStream originally considered two options for the development of their solution: in-house development or third-party partners with existing tools - such as Omnico Group.

"We chose Omnico for their depth of experience - both in retail and in omni-channel - and their open and flexible approach to working together," added Raider. "The proven performance and scalability of their Agile Data solution, as well as its POS-agnostic flexibility, were key decision factors. Omnico's market reputation is excellent, and their commitment to the project has been unquestionable. The Omnico option allowed us to bring our eReceipts solution to market in less than four months from contract execution and means that we are in great shape for launch at the upcoming IRUG show."

Omnico is an expert in omni-channel retail solutions, including real-time data collection, aggregation/normalization, and delivery of store data to enterprise retail applications. Omnico's proven POS development experience, Agile Data server platform, and customer validation extensions are providing inStream the ability to process large quantities of data for its Interactive Digital eReceipts program in a central location, helping to deliver powerful customer insights and allow real-time access.

"We are delighted to be working with inStream on this exciting opportunity," said Jeff Kiehn, executive vice president and general manager, Omnico Americas. "Partnerships form a key part of our Americas business strategy, be it complimentary software partnerships, providing underlying technology to software organizations, or providing hardware specialists access to our extensive range of hardware, installations and support services."

Omnico and inStream will be exhibiting their solutions in booth #15 at the IRUG (International Retail User Group) 37(th) Annual Conference May 18-21, 2014, being held at the Renaissance Orlando SeaWorld.
