IFPE 2008 Is Site of International Fluid Power Summit
Show is Global Gathering Place for Power Transmission Industry
IFPE 2008, the International Exposition for Power Transmission, is the site of the 2008 International Fluid Power Summit, a meeting of leaders from fluid power associations across the globe. The show co-owner, National Fluid Power Association (NFPA), is hosting the event.
IFPE runs March 11-15, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA, and the summit will be held March 13.
The fluid power summit typically attracts key association leaders from countries including Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The summit provides an opportunity for peer to peer discussion on a worldwide basis, with the aim of developing strategies that effectively address global challenges facing the fluid power industry.
"NFPA is pleased to host this important event. Over the last several years, fluid power associations from around the world have seen increasing value in opportunities like these to come together and partner on initiatives that strengthen the global fluid power industry," noted Eric Lanke, NFPA Executive Director. "The promotional television program debuting at the NFPA booth on the IFPE show floor is one such collaborative project that grew out of one of these meetings. With that momentum behind us, we're looking forward to the discussion on March 13 about creating a worldwide certification program for fluid power."
In conjunction with the summit, an International Statistics Committee meeting will also be held, with a focus on international statistical/data collection programs.
IFPE is the leading international exposition and technical conference devoted to power transmission through hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical technologies. More than 125,000 industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend IFPE 2008 and the co-located CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008.
