Honeywell Announces Participation at Gastech 2006

Live Technology Demonstrations Will Be Conducted By Local Honeywell Experts

Dubai, UAE, Dec. 04, 2006 - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today confirmed participation in Gastech 2006, the international conference and exhibition for the LNG, LPG and natural gas industries. Key decision-makers and technology experts from the oil and gas sector will participate in the four-day event from December 4 to 7, at the Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The HPS exhibit will include a technology demonstration of its latest unified system for process, business and asset management, Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) which helps industrial manufacturers increase profitability and productivity. The Honeywell booth will be located in Hall A, J82 and will also showcase the Fire, Gas and Safety System, Security Solutions and an LNG Carrier Simulator.

In addition, Honeywell's real-time, on-line, in-process corrosion sensing technology will also be on display. This technology monitors the effect of process variables and chemical changes on equipment which enables customers to detect corrosion at an early stage allowing them to reduce maintenance costs while increasing unit productivity. With material and labor costs for replacement continuing to rise, many infrastructure components are remaining in service well beyond their original design lives. Control of the cumulative effect of corrosion is essential for managing risks to the integrity of these structures.

At the conference, Mark Roberts, process engineer for Advanced Solutions, will present a paper on 'Best Simulation Practices that Ensure Terminal Safety and Reliability'. The presentation will be made during the "Technical Development" session on the second day of the conference.

"Gastech 2006 provides an ideal platform for us to showcase our comprehensive automation solution for the oil and gas industry." said Larry Perkins, Regional General Manager for HPS, Middle East. "Delegates will be able to see first-hand how our solutions aim to improve our customers' business performance and ensure peace of mind by providing process solutions that are not only the right fit but are also aligned with their business needs of today and in the future."
