Handling Specialty Manufacturing Ltd. Achieves ISO 9001-2008 Re-Certification
(Grimsby, ON) -- Handling Specialty Manufacturing Ltd. successfully passed its ISO 9001:2008 re-certification audit, company president Thomas Beach has proudly announced.Â
“Handling Specialty has been ISO certified since 1993 and the company is proud of this accomplishment,” says Beach.
ISO certification has become a standard requirement for manufacturing companies that want to compete on a global level.
“Passing re-certification for ISO 9001:2008 is a milestone for any company, but it truly means a lot to us,” says Beach. Handling Specialty has always had a commitment to quality, and becoming recertified
Re-certification was achieved in May 2015 and awarded by consulting company Quasar in Milton, Ontario.
ISO 9001:2008 is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides companies with a set of principles that ensure a common sense approach to the management of business activities to consistently achieve customer satisfaction. The standards are set by the International Standards Organization.
With quality being such an important factor with our customers and in the manufacturing industry, following internationally-recognized quality standards is something that Handling Specialty has been doing for nearly 20 years, beginning with QS9000 in the 90s.
