Welding and Gases Magazine Spotlights Training

New issue of Welding & Gases Today now available on the Web.

Dewitt, NY: The Fourth Quarter issue of Welding & Gases Today (WGT) is now available on the Web at www.weldingandgasestoday.org. WGT is the official trade journal of the Gases And Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA), a non-profit trade association whose mission is to promote the safe operation and economic vitality of distributors of industrial gases and related welding equipment and supplies.

The cover story of this issue focuses on training. Articles on building a salesperson from the ground up, making e-learning effective for a traditionally hands-on audience and tips for engaging top performers will teach distributors how to get the most out of their employees. Also included is a feature on "Training Success Stories." These are short case studies that illustrate how manufacturer-sponsored training programs can directly lead to increased sales for distributors.

In addition to the feature on training, this issue features an in-depth look at the issues affecting family businesses. Noted experts Mark Green, Ph.D. and Amy Schuman of the Family Business Consulting Group contributed a piece called "Tough Economy Puts Business To The Test." The article offers solutions for some of the most pressing issues that family businesses are facing during the downturn. Also, a piece called "Succeeding With Succession" highlights some of GAWDA's most prominent family owned businesses. They offer insight and advice for transitioning from one generation to the next-a must read for anyone who is grappling with the issue.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. The only way to find out everything is to head over to the newly renovated www.weldingandgasestoday.org and check out the latest issue of the premiere online publication for the gases and welding industry.
