Freezer Aire(TM) Curtain Reduces the Frost and Ice Problems Associated with Cold Storage Doors

Powered Aire Inc. provides a CFD Illustration (Computer Fluid Dynamic) in its new Freezer Aire Brochure to demonstrate how an air curtain can reduce frost and ice problems at cold storage doors.

The Air Flow simulation shows what happens when a cooler to freezer door is open for 10 seconds with and without a Freezer Aire(TM) Curtain in operation. Under normal air density exchange the warm air enters through the top half of the door opening while the cold air flows out the bottom half when the door is in the open position. Once the warm air enters the freezer it condenses and creates the frost and ice typically found on the door header, wall, and ceilings in these types of applications. Freezer Aire(TM) is designed to improve these conditions and well as help keep freezer doors themselves frost and moisture-free.
