Four IPC Board Members Up for Re-Election



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, March 12, 2009 - The Nominating and Governance Committee of the IPC Board of Directors will present four candidates for re-election at the IPC Annual Meeting, on Tuesday, March 31, in conjunction with IPC APEX EXPO(TM) in Las Vegas. The Board members will serve a two-year term covering calendar years 2009 and 2010.

The candidates are:

o Jack Calderon, managing director, Lincoln International, Chicago, Ill. Calderon has been a board member since 2003 and previously served as an IPC board member from 1997 to 2000. Prior to joining Lincoln International, Calderon spent 20 years in operating positions in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. Lincoln International is a merger and acquisitions firm.

o Marc Peo, president, Heller Industries, Florham Park, N.J. Peo has been with Heller Industries for more than 24 years and has been president for the past decade. He has authored several industry articles on soldering, flux collection, nitrogen use and lead-free conversion and has served on the SMEMA Dual Rail Committee, the APIA Consortium, the JARA Association, IPC SMEMA Council Steering Committee and IPC APEX Trade Show Subcommittee.

o Shane Whiteside, chief operating officer, TTM Technologies, Santa Ana, Calif. Whiteside has been a member of IPC's Board since 2005. Prior to joining TTM Technologies, he served as director of operations at Power Circuits and was previously employed by Technica USA, serving in the areas of product management and technical sales. TTM Technologies is a leading independent supplier of time-critical, technologically advanced printed boards to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and electronics manufacturing services companies.

o Sammy Yi, president, Flextronics Mechanical Technology Solutions, Flextronics International, San Jose, Calif. Yi has been nominated to serve a fourth term. He has more than 15 years in engineering, quality system, technology development and operations management in electronics manufacturing with both original equipment manufacturers and electronics manufacturing services companies in the United States and overseas. Flextronics helps customers design, build, ship and service electronics products for OEMs in the aerospace, automotive, computing, consumer digital, industrial, infrastructure, medical and mobile market segments.

o Peter Murphy, president and CEO, Astrodyne Corporation;

o Joseph O'Neil, president, Hunter Technology;

o Rex Rozario, executive chairman, Graphic Plc;

o Don Schroeder, president, Electronic Components, CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions;

o Alan Wong, president and CEO, Aavid Thermalloy, LLC;

o Zhou Xin, senior director, advanced technology research and development department, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.; and

o Immediate Past Chairman Jim Herring.
