FleetPride Acquires Gooch Brake & Equipment Company
THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Jan. 26, 2011 - FleetPride, Inc., the nation's largest independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, announced that it has acquired the assets of two Page Brake locations in Missouri, previously operating under the name of Gooch Brake & Equipment Company. The acquisition includes locations in Kansas City and Joplin, Missouri.
FleetPride first entered the Joplin, Missouri market in November of 2010 and this latest acquisition is set to compliment the company's existing operations. "We now have a substantial parts and drive-in service operation. FleetPride's ability to quickly source hard-to-find parts and extensive product inventory will help us earn additional business from Joplin's heavy-duty truck industry," said Lee Stockseth, Chief Operating Officer.
The Kansas City, Missouri acquisition represents FleetPride's second expansion into this market. The new location at 6451 Universal Avenue provides FleetPride with a new business outlet to support the Kansas City market. "We feel the two locations in this market allow us to more effectively service our diverse customer base," explained Stockseth.
