EVS Metal Gains ITAR Certification for New Hampshire Facility
EVS Metal, Inc. a full-service manufacturer and leading provider of sheet metal fabrication, machining and integration, is pleased to announce the certification of their New Hampshire facility as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) certified by the US State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). This important certification allows EVS to operate as a manufacturer of defense articles for the the United States Government.
RIVERDALE, NJ – EVS Metal, Inc. a full-service manufacturer and leader in sheet metal fabrication, machining and integration, is pleased to announce the certification of their New Hampshire facility as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) certified by the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). The U.S. Government requires all of its contracted manufacturers, exporters and brokers of defense articles, services or technical data to be ITAR compliant. ITAR certification allows EVS to submit bids and subsequently operate as a manufacturer of defense articles for the the United States Government and its authorized subcontractors.

Enacted in 1976 during the Cold War, ITAR is primarily a means to provide the U.S. Government with necessary information on which companies are involved with certain manufacturing and exporting activities. ITAR regulations cover many different aspects of manufacturing, but the most important edict that must be followed is ensuring that all information and material related to U.S. defense and military-related technologies is only shared with U.S. Persons unless otherwise authorized by the Department of State.
