DEK CEO joins IPC SMEMA Council


DEK has confirmed that company CEO John Hartner has been appointed to the steering committee of the IPC's SMEMA Council.

In his new role as part of this industry body, Hartner will share the insight he has gained from working in today's fast paced electronics industry as part of DEK's global organisation. With worldwide responsibility for company growth at DEK, Hartner is a highly experienced industry insider. A high level of strategic and practical expertise places the DEK CEO in a strong position to contribute to the ongoing relevance and reach of the SMEMA Council.

The IPC's SMEMA Council is comprised of suppliers to electronics assemblers, with a particular focus on equipment manufacturers. A well established presence in the electronics industry, the organisation initiates and drives international technical, managerial and financial programs designed to enhance working relationships and equipment compatibility industry-wide. Aiming to advance the use of SMT around the world, the council has introduced key industry standards including SMEMA 5.0 which outlines screen printing terms and definitions.
