Dapra Corporation Appoints Michael Bitner as Vice President - Sales & Product Management

December 28, 2011 - Dapra Corporation, a manufacturer of high-performance indexable carbide milling tools, is pleased to announce that Michael Bitner has been appointed Vice President - Sales & Product Management. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for sales and marketing, as well as managing distributor relations, applications personnel and advertising.

With over 23 years' experience in the metalworking environment, including production machining, job-shop machining, mold/die building, prototyping and more, Mike's tenure at Dapra began in 1998 as an Applications Specialist. In 2001, he was given the position of Product Manager and he is responsible for the development of most of the Dapra lines as they currently exist. Most recently, Mike headed up the design and oversaw production on the RHINO-FEED line, which offers three size ranges (Mini-, Mid- and Heavy-Feed) for high-feed roughing applications.

When asked what most excites him about his new position and responsibilities, Mike states: "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to work more closely with our distribution network and Regional Managers. Dapra has a lot to offer in indexable milling products and workholding solutions, all supported by the strong knowledge base of our personnel. Our goal going forward is to make ourselves the most attractive option for metalworking opportunities, providing the best combination of performance, price and customer service."

Dapra's CEO, Linda Pilvelis, is extremely pleased about Mike's appointment: "I am thrilled to announce Mike's expanded key role within our growing organization. His sales and technical skills will be a significant asset to our distribution network and end users alike. We are committed to understanding, meeting and exceeding current and future customer needs with products and services of superior performance and value."

In addition to manufacturing an extensive line of high-performance milling tools, Dapra is also the United States representative for Allmatic workholding systems, as well as BIAX scrapers and high-speed spindles. Mike will report to Dapra CEO Linda Pilvelis. His promotion is timely, coinciding with the implementation of a new, state-of-the-art computer system that will provide the latest in customer service software, contact management and inventory management.
