CAS DataLoggers Presents at PCC Oktoberfest 2013

Displaying Remote Data Loggers with Automatic Data Transmission

CHESTERLAND OH

CAS DataLoggers is proud to announce that we’re sponsoring and presenting at 2013 PCC (Professional Control Corporation) Oktoberfest on Thursday September 26th in Germantown, Wisconsin. A leading industrial automation and control distributor for over 30 years, PCC provides a venue for both vendors and customers. This year’s theme is ‘Tap Into Technology,’ featuring an Automation Fair exhibit going on all day and a data logging presentation from our own Sales Manager Pete Martin on how to find the ideal remote monitoring device for your application.

From 10:30-11:20am, Pete Martin is hosting an informational workshop titled “10 Things to Know Before Purchasing a Data Logger for Remote Monitoring.” Pete’s presentation will address several factors that should be considered when purchasing a datalogger for remote application projects. Remote monitoring applications in fields such as oil and natural gas extraction, environmental monitoring, fleet management and other critical applications often require close attention to detail. Therefore, when purchasing a new data logger, it’s important to understand the capabilities and specifications of the exact device you need. Drawing on his many years of experience, Pete will quickly take attendees through the selection process.

Our flagship remote monitoring device is the dataTaker DT80M Intelligent Modem Data Logger, featuring the same functionality as the bestselling DT80 model but adding a built-in 2G/3G cellular modem. This enables remote access and automated data transfers to email or FTP. Recording in real-time, the DT80M logger features 5 to 15 universal analog sensor channels to measure nearly any physical signal including temperature, voltage/ current, event, and more. Logger memory stores up to 10 million data points, and USB memory stick data collection allows users a hassle-free option for data transfer. The modem datalogger connects to a PC either locally, remotely or over the Internet using its Ethernet and USB ports. Users can also send alarm messages to multiple email addresses or mobile phones via SMS messaging.

Our Grant Squirrel SQ2020 data loggers are portable data loggers compatible with various configurations of thermocouple sensors. Squirrel data loggers offer a highly accurate battery-powered solution measuring a broad range of physical values including temperature, humidity, current, voltage and resistance. SQ2020s are easily configured via integral interface or via PC and offer both USB and RS232 connectivity.

CAS DataLoggers is also offering high-powered Delphin data acquisition devices which measure temperature, pressure, flow, voltage and vibration in a wide variety of research, testing and process control applications. Delphin systems solve a variety of measurement and control problems in industrial and laboratory applications. They can be used for local data acquisition and logging when connected to a PC, for remote unattended data collection connected the internet, or as stand-alone devices.

We also offer Jager’s sophisticated ADwin data acquisition systems which support parallel, individually- controlled, real-time processes while running independently of a PC's operating system. ADwin systems provide deterministic operation with response times of 1 usecond or less for high-speed measurements. ADwin systems see common use in testing automotive components, electrical component test, motion control, high-speed synchronized data acquisition, and more.

Pete explains, “PCC’s Oktoberfest is a great local event where everyone can get acquainted with new technology and see what it can do for their own projects. There are lots of opportunities to talk with everyone and get a close look at the capabilities we offer for remote monitoring, data transfer and alarming. I’m looking forward to it.”
