Big Rock Sports Names Navico Vendor of the Year - Central Region

Marine Electronics Leader Honored for Operational Excellence, Distribution Support and Product Innovation

Tulsa, Okla. - Navico - the world leader in recreational marine electronics and parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brands - has been named Big Rock Sports' 2010 Vendor of the Year for the Central Region. Announced last month at the Big Rock East Dealer Show in Raleigh, North Carolina, award honorees were selected by the Big Rock Sports Executive Team. Navico was recognized for its operational excellence, product innovation and committed support to the Big Rock wholesale distribution network at all levels of the organization -including sales, merchandising and marketing.

"We are honored to be named Big Rock Sports' 2010 Vendor of the Year for the Central Region," said Louis Chemi, chief operating officer, Navico Americas.

"This recognition confirms we're on the right track of delivering industry-leading product, service and customer support. I extend my gratitude to all members of the Navico team involved in this great achievement - especially our Senior Sales Manager, Mike Schnettler, who directly handles the Central Region."

"We have completely revamped our product lines in the last two years, leading the industry through product innovation, and in the last ten months, we launched an enhanced customer-service approach that has been well-received by both consumers and commercial customers - like Big Rock Sports," Chemi continued.

Headquartered in Newport, North Carolina, Big Rock Sports is the parent company of All Sports, AWR Sports, CSI Sports, Henry's and MT Sports distribution centers. One of the largest wholesalers in the country, Big Rock carries over 190,000 SKUs from thousands of vendor suppliers, serving more than 15,000 hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor lifestyle retailers in the United States and internationally.

Navico was formed in 2006 as a fusion of two leading international players in marine electronics, Simrad Yachting and Lowrance Electronics. With the addition of Brunswick New Technologies' marine electronics division in 2007, Navico has established itself as the dominant name in marine electronics. The Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands are all manufactured, marketed and distributed under the Navico umbrella and continue to receive industry awards for product innovation and service. The company has development and manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, the UK and New Zealand, and its portfolio of award-winning products and services are represented in more than 100 countries.
