ASCO Introduces Catalog 34


FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA, July 3, 2007 - ASCO, the world's leading manufacturer of solenoid valves, today introduced Catalog 34, the latest catalog that includes our comprehensive product portfolio. Catalog 34 replaces Catalog 33A and is available in a bound version that is compact and easy-to-use. In addition to a variety of new products, the ASCO Today Guaranteed Same Day Shipment Program is also featured throughout the catalog. The Condensed Listing section, located on page IV also includes a quick reference to the products that qualify for ASCO Today and/or 5 Day based on voltage required.

ASCO's new catalog includes the following additions:

General Service 2-Way Section

o Series 8256 Subminiature Solenoid Valves: 1/8" NPT, 2-way valves, compact design for general service air, water & light oil applications.

General Service 3-Way Section

o 8551 and 8553 3-way Inline and RedHat II Spool Valves: Spool Valves for piping to spring return valve actuators.
o Series 8356 Subminiature Solenoid Valves: 1/8" NPT, 3-way valves, compact design for general service air, water & light oil applications.

General Service 4-Way Section

o 8551 and 8553 4-way Inline and RedHat II Spool Valves: Spool Valves for piping to double acting actuators.

Electronically Enhanced (Next Generation) Section

o RedHat Next Generation Valves: RedHat Next Generation valves use electronic technology to provide low power consumption, AC/DC operation, enhanced pressure & flow ratings, and electrical surge suppression to both solenoid and electronic controls.

Special Service Valves Section

o Condensate Drain Valve (CDV) Assemblies: CDV assemblies are used for draining excess condensate from receiver tanks, pre-filters, separators or dryers, and drip legs.
o Consolidation of Low Power Valves with 8551 and 8553 Low Power Spool Valves: These Low Power valves are used for reduced power consumption requirements in PLC systems or bus protocols.
o Consolidation of Intrinsically Safe Valves with 8551 and 8553 Intrinsically Safe Spool Valves: Intrinsically Safe valves used in hazardous locations in conjunction with an IS barrier.
o Non-Incendive Field Wiring: These Non-Incendive Field Wiring Valves are used in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations in conjunction with an NIFW barrier.
Valve Automation Section
o 8551 and 8553 3 and 4-way Inline and RedHat II NAMUR Spool Valves: These NAMUR Spool Valves are for mounting direct to NAMUR actuators.

Combustion Section

o Series 8256 Gas Shutoff Valves: 1/8" NPT, 2-way valves, compact design for combustion service fuel gas shutoff applications.
o Series 8256 Oil Shutoff Valves: 1/8" NPT, 2-way valves, compact design for combustion service fuel oil shutoff applications.
