Turner, Jr., chief counsel for the House Committee on Science and Technology. Throughout his tenure on the staff of the House Committee on Science of the U.S. Congress, Mr. Turner has strived to raise general awareness of the importance of standards and the value of the voluntary consensus standards system throughout the legislative and regulatory process. This award recognizes demonstrated leadership in promoting the important role of standardization in eliminating global barriers to trade.
