ANSI and the China Quality Certification Centre Host Two Events on Chinese Certification Programs

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) was pleased to partner in September with the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) on two events geared toward helping companies better understand certification requirements for products in China. CQC is one of the largest designated certification bodies authorized by the Chinese government to perform certification for China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and other government programs. The first event, a briefing held for the ANSI Manufacturer Member Roundtable on September 6 in Beijing, included presentations from CQC experts on certification programs related to government procurement and incentive programs. Specific subject areas included energy and water savings certification, photovoltaic product certification, and low carbon certification programs. In addition, ANSI welcomed experts and officials from CQC and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) in New York on September 27 for a training seminar on updates to the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) regime.
