The ROSEN Group Receives 2015 Global Pipeline Award

ASME honors Swiss company at recent Rio Pipeline Conference

NEW YORK – The ROSEN Group of Switzerland is the recipient of the 2015 Global Pipeline Award for an innovative device that utilizes a sensor to determine material specifications in petroleum pipelines.

The Pipeline Systems Division of ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) presented the award at the Rio Pipeline Conference held last month in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Global Pipeline Award recognizes outstanding innovations and technological advances in the field of pipeline transportation.  A project, product, device, system, service, approach or other can receive the award.

ROSEN won for RoMat PGS - ILI solution for Pipe Grade Determination.  The ILI tool uses especially adapted electro-magnetic sensor technology to determine yield strength and ultimate tensile strength in pipe joints.

The Global Pipeline Award is presented each year at the International Pipeline Conference, which is held alternately in Calgary and the Rio de Janeiro. For information, visit www.go.asme.org/psd
