AMCA Hosts Middle East Technical Seminar in Dubai



ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. announced that its Middle East Technical Seminar was held on November 22 in collaboration with the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter in conjunction with the Big 5 Dubai Expo. The event was held at the Dusit Thani Dubai hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.



The seminar focused on designing and specifying air systems for commercial buildings in the Middle East. Topics included minimizing system effect, properly specifying AMCA-certified products, the proper sizing/selection of fans and low-leakage dampers, the new AMCA sand louver certification program, and the new energy service company retrofit program.



The seminar featured speakers from the Dubai business community and government agencies, as well as from AMCA International leadership. These speakers included Dr. Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of ASHRAE-Falcon Chapter; Mustapha Aanzi, Energy Efficiency Consultant, Etihad ESCO; Saad Ali, Vice President & Group General Manager, Rukin Titus Gulf; Dipen Patel, Application Engineer, Greenheck Fan Corporation; Ed Rizk, International Design Consultant, McGill Architectural Products; Mark Stevens, Executive Director, AMCA International; and Michael Ivanovich, Senior Director, Industry Relations, AMCA International.



"This was AMCA's largest-ever event in the Middle East, and we wish to thank our partner, ASHRAE-Falcon Chapter, and its members for the support," said Mark Stevens.
