Agilent Technologies Wins 2008 Supply Chain Operational Excellence Award

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 26, 2008 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that it has received the 2008 Supply Chain Operational Excellence Award for its effective use of resources to achieve greater business results through exceptional management. Each year, the Supply-Chain Council recognizes organizations that understand the critical role of, and are committed to optimizing, supply-chain performance.

"We are honored to receive this award in recognition of our continued focus on creating additional value to our stakeholders and customers through cost savings, process streamlining and efficiency improvement," said Shidah Ahmad, Agilent vice president and general manager for Electronic Measurements Group Supply Chain. "These activities will create a differentiator for us and help propel Agilent to the next winning level."

Agilent developed a program to streamline and optimize its multiple supply chains across its divisions, significantly improving order-to-revenue conversion and supply-chain productivity, as well as substantially reducing inventory levels across the company.

The Supply-Chain Council is a global not-for-profit consortium and owner of the Supply-Chain Operations Reference Model. Their annual awards are given based on the nature and complexity of organizations' improvement projects, and those organizations' ability to demonstrate value, as shown through excellence in the design, operation or improvement of the supply chain. Agilent accepted the Supply Chain Operational Excellence Award at the 2008 Supply-Chain World Conference & Exposition, held in Minneapolis, Minn., March 17-19.
