Adhesives Research, Inc. Promotes Geoff Bennett to President
GLEN ROCK, Pa. (January 18, 2007) - Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading independent developer and manufacturer of high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes, specialty coatings, films, and laminates, has promoted Geoff Bennett to the position of president, effective January 1, 2007.
Bennett succeeds Kären M. Olson, who served as president and CEO of Adhesives Research for more than three years. Under Olson's leadership, the company increased sales to over $100 million, added two business units based on new product technologies, and expanded global operations in Europe and Asia. She will continue to be involved with the company as a member of the board of directors.
Bennett joined Adhesives Research ten years ago at its United Kingdom office. From there, he went on to Limerick, Ireland to serve as president of Adhesives Research Europe, where he was responsible for the start-up and profitable growth of the company's Limerick facility. In 2005, he relocated to the corporate headquarters in Glenn Rock, Pennsylvania, where he was promoted to vice president and general manager of the ARcare® division. The ARcare division is one of four fully integrated operating divisions of Adhesives Research. Most recently, Bennett assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the ARcare®, ARclad® and ARmark(TM) divisions.
As President, Bennett will oversee all four divisions of Adhesives Research - ARcare®, ARclad®, ARx(TM) and ARmark(TM). ARcare® focuses on the timely development and manufacture of highly customized, often one-of-a-kind, tapes, adhesive coated products, films, and laminates for customers in the pharmaceutical, medical, electronics, and specialty industrial markets. The ARclad® division builds upon proven product lines of high-performance, specialty pressure-sensitive tapes used by industrial customers in the construction, pulp and paper, and transportation markets. ARx(TM), LLC, is a leading component supplier/partner to the pharmaceutical industry and brings added focus and regulatory control to the design, scale-up, and manufacture of "active" adhesive laminates and dissolvable films for the fast-growing drug delivery sector. ARmark(TM) Authentication Technologies, LLC, provides unique technical solutions and customized products for markets experiencing challenges with product surety, authentication and security.
A resident of Harford County, Maryland, Bennett is a native of England. He is a qualified mechanical engineer who holds a full technician's higher national certificate, achieved GCE O'Levels in math and English, and also attended the Ashridge Course for General Management (England).
