Xyratex Demonstrates New and Enhanced Storage Products at CeBit 2006

HAVANT, United Kingdom, March 8 -- Xyratex Ltd. (NASDAQ:XRTX), a leader in high performance and scalable storage systems for the OEM and System Integrator market, will demonstrate their latest product offerings at CeBit from March 9th - 15th, 2006 in Hannover, Germany. The company's presence at this event will be focused on the launch of Xyratex's 4G RAID technology and the demonstration of several other products that address the medium enterprise and near-line storage market.
Xyratex will demonstrate the F5402E, a 4G FC-SAS/SATA solution that utilizes reliable and backward compatible Fibre Channel connectivity together with high performing SAS drives and low cost SATA drives in a single expandable solution. This exciting new solution also features StorView(TM), Xyratex's latest system configuration and management software.

o HS-1235 and HS-0435 Application Platforms -- These unique offerings
provide OEMs and Solution Integrators with low cost appliance
technology that is capable of supporting a variety of applications,
including NAS, iSCSI and virtual tape library. Combining capacities
of 12TB and 6TB respectively with high speed network connections and
industry standard operating systems, Xyratex's Application Platforms
enable customers to optimize system configurations to meet market
specific application requirements.
o 4835 Mass Storage Solution -- Positioned for the disk-to-disk and tape
emulation markets, the 4835 offers a combination of Fibre Channel
connectivity, and cost effective SATA disk drives in a high density,
high availability 4U enclosure. The 4835 is capable of managing and
maintaining up 24TB per enclosure and is ideal for addressing
traditional near-line applications.
