The appointment of Rick Johnson as the new regional sales director for the northeast region of States is announced by Keith Mills, president of Xspect Solutions/Wenzel, Inc.
Mr. Johnson comes to Xspect Solutions from Comau, Inc. where he worked for thirteen years, primarily as the director of the former PICO Assembly and Test Division. He had also served as the sales director for PICO's Tier I customers. Before that, Mr. Johnson had worked for ten years at DEA, the Italian CMM manufacturer, as director of operations prior to its acquisition by Brown & Sharpe, Inc. He holds two engineering degrees. First, a Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan Technology University. Second an Electrical Engineering degree from Lawrence Technological University. He and his family reside in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
In this new regional sales director position, Mr. Johnson will be responsible for all new Wenzel CMM, GearTec Gear Measuring Machine, OpenDMIS software and Xspect Solutions rebuilt and remanufactured CMM sales in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

CMMs in the North American metrology market including; new Wenzel CMMs and GMMs (Gear Measuring Machines), and is the world's largest supplier of pre-owned CMM equipment.
Wenzel GmbH is the 4th largest CMM builder in the world and manufacturers its CMMs intrinsically accurate, negating the need for the huge error compensation files to achieve quoted accuracies which have become the norm in past years from most CMM manufacturers. The black granite used on Wenzel CMMs is processed in-house at their impressive manufacturing facilities in Germany, not imported from China pre-finished...which is now the industry norm.
