Press release date: June 6, 2011

Young gases and welding professional shares experiences on industry blog.

Dewitt, NY - Welding & Gases Today announces the addition of a fifth blogger to the GAWDA Young Professionals e-Dialogue. Jay Brant, southern territories manager at Indiana Oxygen Company (Indianapolis, IN), joins the stellar cast of industry bloggers at Welding & Gases Today Online, the leading magazine for the gases and welding equipment industry.

In his young career, Brant has already worked on both the supplier and distributor sides of the industry. After completing an internship at Lincoln Electric, Brant went to work at WestAir Gases in San Diego, CA, for three years. For the past 14 months, he has been employed at Indiana Oxygen Company, where he is a fourth-generation family business member. "Like many of the other contributors to the Young Professionals Blog, I grew up around the industry," says Brant. "I have a very talented group of people working around me who are both fun to work with and great to learn from."

The Young Professionals Executive Dialogue, or e-Dialogue, launched in November 2010, introducing four fresh faces to readers of Welding & Gases Today Online. Jay Brant joins existing bloggers Abydee Butler, marketing director at Butler Gas Products, Ryan Morton, outside sales associate at Conroe Welding Supply, Colleen Mahoney, marketing communications manager at Noble Gas Solutions, and Brandt De Vries, junior VP at Welding Industrial Supply Company.

As up-and-coming members of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA), the five bloggers share in the trials and triumphs of daily life in the gases and welding industry. "I look forward to further contributing to the blog and sharing my experiences in the industry," says Brant.

To interact with GAWDA's young professionals, visit the Young Professionals e-Dialogue (http://www.weldingandgasestoday.org/blogs/Young-Execs) at Welding & Gases Today online.
