Though some areas of the country are only starting to cool this Fall. In some parts of the United States, citizens dubbed October as "Snowtober" due to raging winter storms. Driving conditions are always a concern during snow or other inclement weather conditions, which creates many issues including vehicle traction to stay on the road. Drivers of certain vehicles such as pickup trucks may want to add extra weight to minimize traction issues. Granger Plastics offers the Weight Mate as a solution to adding extra weight to the bed of a pickup truck easily and effectively.
The Weight Mate is a set of tanks designed for truck beds ranging from 6' to 8' fitting securely into the bed of the truck. The tanks are then filled with water adding up to 500 pounds of weight directly over the rear axle of the pick-up truck. The Weight Mates are made with a high quality polyethylene and come with an opening for easy filling and an additional opening for easy draining. Weight Mates also have a low 6" profile leaving maximum hauling space, when in use.
Also available are Water Mates which are manufactured from food grade polyethylene. These offer the same benefits of added weight but allow the water to be used for drinking. In place of the drain opening is a spigot for easy dispending of drinking water. Water Mates are perfect for off-roading or camping. Both come with an anti-skid mat.
