Victaulic Announces New VP of Product Development


Dr. Richard Bucher brings global business leadership experience to his position in Engineering department

EASTON, PA (June 5, 2009) - Victaulic today announced that Dr. Richard A. Bucher has joined Victaulic as Vice President of Product Development in its Engineering department. In this position, he will provide leadership to Victaulic product development efforts, as well as strategic planning regarding the development of new products and the investigation of new technologies and business opportunities for Victaulic.

Before joining Victaulic, Bucher was Global Business Leader with W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc., where he recently led a business unit within the Medical Products Division. Prior to that, he led multiple business units within Gore's Industrial Products Division. Bucher received a Bachelor of Science and master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Rice University, and a doctorate in Materials Engineering Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Bucher is an active fundraiser for Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF) and Cure Search: National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Past professional achievements include testifying before the United States Senate Sub-committee on the Environment and Public Works.

Bucher lives in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with his wife, Amy, and their son Grayson.
