Verizon Expands Its Fast, Affordable DSL Broadband Service in Vermont

Service Now Available in Coventry, Danville, Hardwick, Johnson and Plainfield

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt., Jan. 2 -- Consumers and businesses in Coventry, Danville, Hardwick, Johnson and Plainfield now have access to the best value in broadband and one of the fastest-growing choices of Americans for high-speed Internet access: Verizon DSL. Verizon also recently added DSL service in Morrisville and expanded DSL service in Colchester, Essex and Williston.

"Smart broadband shoppers pick fast, affordable DSL," said Pamela Porell, vice president of Verizon Vermont. "We've signed up record numbers of new customers because we're offering them a choice of fast speeds, affordable pricing and a multitude of services that help them get the most from their high-speed connection. If you're interested in broadband service, now's the time to check out DSL, as we expand its availability in Vermont."

Porell added that Verizon's DSL announcement is part of a major broadband expansion announced in April that will make DSL available to 80 percent of the company's Vermont customers in the next four years.

Vermont residents can visit www.verizon.net to see if Verizon Online DSL is available to their homes and to order service. Both plans include 24/7 technical support, a 30-day money-back guarantee, a choice of free Verizon Yahoo! or MSN Premium services, nine e-mail accounts and 10 MB (megabytes) of personal Web space. Customers ordering online receive a do-it-yourself installation kit with modem at no additional charge, and customers ordering a connection speed of up to 3.0 Mbps online have the option of receiving a combination modem and wireless router at no additional charge.
