ASC Members Leverage Online Directory to Increase Industry Exposure
Bethesda, MD – End user visitors coming to www.adhesives.org to find adhesive and sealant solutions are leveraging the easy-to-use VendorSelect Tool and connecting with Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) member companies. Raw material suppliers looking to connect with manufacturers and manufacturers looking to connect with distributors are also now using the same tool on ASC’s newly redesigned www.ascouncil.org website.
“The VendorSelect Tool is one of top visited areas on adhesives.org, with hundreds accessing the tool on a monthly basis to locate manufacturers,” reports Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC. “VendorSelect is a free member service that includes a listing of all member companies with basic contact information, including company name, description, address, telephone, and web address. We are finding that a large number of members are inquiring about this new program and are requesting to enhance their free listing with a simple advertisement that links directly back to a page on their website.”
The VendorSelect Tool allows visitors to both adhesives.org and ascouncil.org to use a simple point and click methodology to select the raw material or formulated product for which they are looking. Once the variables are selected, a roster of companies is identified, and the user can begin researching the appropriate manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
This new advertising program allows any ASC member to add their own branding or marketing image to their listing with a link to a specific page on their website for an annual fee of $250.
“The basic listing is free and is automatically given to those who join the Council,” notes Jessica Carter, ASC’s Online Communications Manager. “However, enhancing a basic listing allows a company to distinguish themselves from other ASC member companies by illustrating something specific they want to promote, whether it is a new product line or recent award. In addition, those who choose to enhance their listing can switch out their ad on a quarterly basis to coincide with their marketing plan. The price is a nominal at $250 a year, which basically covers the cost to host the image and maintain the tool.”
