United Airlines Unveils More Powerful Web Site That Clicks with Customers


Increased flight-search capabilities and simplified navigation enhance booking process; Mileage Plus members can even save trip itineraries for future use

CHICAGO, Feb. 15 -- United Airlines announced today it has refreshed the united.com Web site, providing customers with more powerful booking tools, intuitive navigation and a clean, new look.

Customers now have more flight-search capabilities that include shopping by schedule, price or flexible dates, as well as the ability to select and change seat assignments. For Mileage Plus® members, united.com offers the ability to access past travel itineraries and easily see alternative dates for award tickets should their first choice be unavailable.

"The new united.com provides our customers with an enhanced travel experience from the moment they begin planning their trip," said Dennis Cary, United's senior vice president of Marketing. "Customers have more tools to help them create their travel itineraries, more flexibility when making their travel arrangements, and much easier navigation."

With fewer clicks, customers can navigate the site to plan and book travel, check flight status, check in for flights and manage their Mileage Plus account information.

Customers can earn up to 500 bonus miles each time they purchase qualifying travel at united.com. united.com also offers the guaranteed lowest United fares, and unlike other travel Web sites, united.com does not charge a booking fee. When checking in at united.com, customers can purchase upgrades to United First®, United Business® or Economy Plus®, which offers up to five extra inches of legroom, subject to availability.
