NEMA Publishes Thermostat Standards NEMA DC 3-2013 and NEMA DC 3 Annex A-2013

ROSSLYN, Va.—The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA DC 3-2013 Residential Controls—Electrical Wall-Mounted Room Thermostats and NEMA DC 3 Annex A-2013 Energy-Efficiency Requirements for Programmable Thermostats.

NEMA DC 3 covers self-contained, electrical and electronic, wall-mounted room thermostats. This standard may be downloaded at no cost or purchased in hardcopy on the NEMA website for $61.

NEMA DC 3 Annex A contains the performance requirements for programmable thermostats described as energy-efficient. This document may be downloaded at no cost or purchased in hardcopy format on the NEMA website for $42.
