SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 2, 2011 - Trimble (Nasdaq: TRMB) announced today that it has acquired a suite of software solutions from Mesta Entreprenor AS, a subsidiary of Mesta Konsern AS. Mesta Konsern AS is one of Norway's largest contracting groups for road and highway construction as well as related operations and maintenance. The software suite includes office, field data collection and on-machine solutions specifically designed for the Nordic construction market. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The addition of the software enables Trimble to further address local application requirements and provide complete customized construction solutions for the Nordic markets. The software is used by Mesta subsidiaries as well as many of the largest civil engineering and construction contractors in Norway and Sweden.

The software solutions include:

Win Anpakke: PC software for data prep, data analysis, reporting, QA, mass computations and blast pattern design. It incorporates translation software for local standards such as Bever, VIPS and XML.

Win Anfelt: Field software for total station and GPS measurements, stakeout and QA. It also includes road, rail and tunneling applications.

Win Anfelt-Maskin: On-board machine control software for excavators, surface drills, loaders, graders, dozers and others.

"Mesta has had a very close and successful relationship as a customer of Trimble products for many years," said Eivind Opedal, CEO for Mesta Entreprenor AS. "Since the Mesta software division was founded, our vision has been to focus on the local requirements of the regional markets and provide fine-tuned solutions. "The acquisition of Mesta software solutions reinforces our commitment to the Nordic markets as well as our goal of providing complete construction solutions to meet global needs.
