Press release date: January 29, 2013

Toyota Industries Corporation is once again listed the world's top material handling provider

The dhf Intralogistik and Logistik Journal ranks Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) number one on the global market in its list of material handling providers.

Every year since 2001, the dhf Intralogistik Journal and the Logistik Journal magazines have placed Toyota at the top of their worldwide ranking lists. These lists are determined by the companies' performance at the end of each fiscal year. The most recent publications cover the period spanning from 1st April 2011 until 31st March 2012.

Despite a rough economic climate marked by instability, Toyota has managed to keep its sales and profits at bay, and to stay in pole position. A considerable effort, since production had additionally been affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. These downturns and the current outcome prove that Toyota is a strong brand with a solid organization behind it.

TICO has a clear goal ahead: to accelerate growth and put into practice its Vision 2020 initiatives. These include being of service in every aspect of customer relations and keeping its commitment to the highest level of safety, environmental sustainability, quality, cost and delivery standards.

The fact that Toyota is number one in the world speaks for our quality products and commitment to Kaizen continuous improvement), which we make to best service our customers everywhere. We focus on keeping our position as a reliable partner by reinforcing the dialogue and collaboration with partners and colleagues, says Matthias Fischer, President at Toyota Material Handling Europe.

Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) manages the Group's operations in Europe, the largest market for material handling. Active in more than 30 countries, it offers a full range of Toyota counterbalanced forklifts and BT warehouse equipment, as well as comprehensive services and solutions. A dynamic organization with a strong leadership, TMHE has a considerable impact on the realization of Vision 2020.
