Tom Burbage, Lockheed Martin, Visits Canadian SME

(Grimsby, ON September 25, 2006) This morning at their headquarters in Grimsby, Ontario, Handling Specialty hosted Tom Burbage, Executive Vice President and General Manager, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter along with Abhay Paranjape, JSF International Program Manager, Australia Canada. The visit of Lockheed Martin's F-35 officials was the highlight of the Global Supplier Open House that showcased Handling Specialty's key suppliers for the JSF program.

In May 2003, Handling Specialty was awarded a multi-million dollar contract to supply Lockheed Martin to design, build, install and commission seven (7) Vertical Wing Assembly Cells (VWAC) for the F-35 JSF Program for their facility in Fort Worth, TX. Since the initial contract, Handling Specialty has secured subsequent prime contracts exceeding $10 million for additional equipment for this program, including six (6) additional VWACs, Wing Transport Dollies and Parts Lifts.

In his speech to invited guests, suppliers and Handling Specialty staff, Mr. Burbage provided an overview into the JSF program and its impact on Canada, the United States and the world. With over 10,000 strong in the supply chain, Burbage stated "bar none, this company is as good as they get."

According to Dennis Parass, President of Handling Specialty, "Not only is the F-35 JSF program having a major impact on Handling Specialty's present and future business prospects, but it will also make a significant contribution to a host of other Canadian companies and their suppliers."
