Omron Electronics LLC (www.omron247.com) has introduced 3 new high-performance AC drive series that help machine builders and plants achieve energy savings in a time of rising utility costs and extend motor life to reduce operating costs. These AC drives were designed to be easy to install and maintain for fast commissioning and maximum system availability. The 3G3JX series for simple applications offers V/Hz control; the compact 3G3MX for side-by-side mounting offers open loop control; the 3G3RX series provides both open- and closed-loop control, and advanced features to meet the needs of challenging torque and speed control applications.

AC Drives for Simple, General Purpose Applications-Model 3G3JX
o V/Hz control can be used for simple, general purpose applications such as fans, blowers and pumps.
o Top and bottom wiring enables simple contactor replacement
o Side-by-side mounting contributes to space savings

o Side-by-side mounting saves panel space
o Micro-surge Voltage Suppression reduces motor burn out, allows use of most general purpose induction motors
o Overcurrent and Overvoltage trip suppression reduces nuisance tripping
o Built-in PID function eliminates the need for external controller
o Restart function allows automatic recovery from momentary power loss
o Removable control circuit terminal block saves wiring time

Advanced AC Drive for Excellent Speed and Torque Regulation-3G3RX
o Open- and Closed-Loop Vector Control deliver precise speed and torque regulation for high performance applications such as extruders, winders, and packaging machines.
o High starting torque: 200% at 0.3 Hz (Closed loop) allows zero speed load holding
o Combine AC drive with an encoder for feedback to perform low precision positioning applications.
o Automatic Energy Saving Function significantly reduces energy usage on constant speed applications
