The Modal Shop Announces the Hiring of Frank Sokolowski

October 12, 2009, Cincinnati, OH - THE MODAL SHOP, INC. announces the hiring of Frank Sokolowski as the NDT Field Sales Manager for North America. Frank previously was an Automotive Key Account Manager for GE Inspection Technologies with the responsibility for supporting GE's nondestructive test products at major automotive manufacturing companies like GM, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Magna, Chrysler and Honda.

The Modal Shop's President and PCB Group Director, Michael Lally comments, "Frank's prior experience with Krautkramer, as well as his tenure with GE Inspection Technologies, makes him an ideal complement to our growing NDT operations. His "can-do" style with customers and rapid response will only expand The Modal Shop's and PCB Group's reputation for Total Customer Satisfaction."

The Modal Shop provides quality-testing systems for powder metal, cast, ductile iron and forged parts. The nondestructive testing application using the Resonant Acoustic Method (NDT-RAMTM) technique has proven effective for many manufacturers in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, and medical devices. NDT-RAM is ideal for manufacturers that have substantial inspection costs, require 100% inspection, produce or use safety-critical parts, have substantial scrap costs due to false rejects, or simply want to improve their part quality. With no part preparation required, NDT-RAM can successfully identify internal and external flaws due to cracks, voids, material density, dimensions, porosity and nodularity as well as missed manufacturing processes.
