The Gund Company Acquires Weidmann Industries, L.P.

The Gund Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of Weidmann Industries L.P. of Canada from WICOR Americas, Inc..
Weidmann Industries, LP in Fergus, Ontario is the market leading fabricator of thermoset rigid laminates and specialty thermoplastics in Canada. The Gund Company is acquiring only the Fergus fabrication plant from Weidmann. This transaction does not impact Weidmann's cellulose based insulation manufacturing, fabrication, or testing operations around the world.

The Gund Company is a manufacturer and fabricator of electrical insulation materials and composites for power systems equipment. Custom fabricated components and assemblies from The Gund Company are used in the manufacturer and repair of generators, transformers, switchgear, power supplies, electric motors, electric furnaces, and related electrical and electronic equipment.
