Glen Ellyn, IL-The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA) will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the association's 2012 Annual Meeting, October 28-30 at the Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The fast-paced, two-day Annual Meeting schedule features an impressive schedule of 16 Technical Papers selected by TRFA's four Market Focused Committees: Coatings, Civil Engineering and Floorings; Adhesives and Sealants; Composites and Tooling; and Potting, Encapsulation and Electrical. Technical Paper presentations are essential to achieving one of the association's key objectives, which is to be "the premier forum to interact and exchange knowledge among formulators and suppliers."

The schedule also includes a Regulatory Affairs Update, a Table Top Showcase, and the presentation of TRFA's third annual Excellence in Thermoset Polymer Research Award. Attendees can also look forward to ample networking opportunities throughout the schedule, including two luncheons, two receptions and optional networking activities on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28. Bruce Burton, Huntsman Performance Products, will serve as Annual Meeting Chair.

For the first time in 2012, the meeting will be preceded by the initial presentation of TRFA's Epoxy 101 Short Course, an introduction and advanced concepts in the formulation, application and end-uses of thermoset resin technologies for technical and sales/marketing professionals new to the industry, as well as those seeking a refresher. The short course offers a value-added opportunity to leverage the benefits of attendance at the TRFA Annual Meeting and/or to provide important training in thermoset resin technology for new employees. The course is scheduled for Sunday, October 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida. The TRFA 10th Annual Meeting convenes on Monday, October 29th.

Since the association's initial meeting in 2002, it has grown to 73 members and offers unparalleled networking opportunities in the only association specifically representing the interests of the thermoset resin industry. In addition to the annual meeting, TRFA offers members the opportunity for participation in four product-focused committees, access to TRFA's substantial and growing body of technical papers, additional internet visibility for member companies with links from the TRFA member list on the Association's well-used website to your company's website; a members-only section on the TRFA website with access to a member electronic address book, a list of applicable Testing Standards for thermoset resins, minutes, VOC and other regulatory information; a job posting board and more.
