The appointment of Derek Balmer as vice president sales, for T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation, is announced by David Smith, T.M. Smith Tool International, chief operating officer.
As a vice president sales, Mr. Balmer will be responsible for T.M. Smith's sales efforts nationwide and will direct the day-to-day efforts of the sales organization and the network of North American industrial distributors. In addition, Mr. Balmer will continue to be the key account manager for existing and new products with Ford, General Motors, Chrysler and American Axle.
Derek Balmer has over twenty years of engineering and sales experience in the automotive industry. He originally came to T.M. Smith from J & S Cutting Tools LLC, an industrial supply company specializing in cutting tools for the metalworking industry. Mr. Balmer resides in Macomb Township, Michigan.
T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation was founded in the 1957. It is a leader in the design and manufacture of quick-change tool holders for drilling, reaming and tapping. Over time, T.M. Smith has become well known, particularly in the worldwide automotive industry, for quality and innovative design and engineering.
