Sybase iAnywhere Debuts New Wireless AvantGo Software to Blackberry Subscribers


Popular Mobile Internet Service to Be Demonstrated on New BlackBerry Pearl Handset at CTIA

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 / -- CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment 2006 -- Sybase iAnywhere today unveiled the next generation of the AvantGo® mobile Internet service, featuring a fully-enhanced wireless experience that enables smartphone and PDA users to have always available access to their favorite Web content. The beta program for Research In Motion BlackBerry users opened today, giving users the opportunity to take the new service for a test- drive. Additional platforms will be announced in the months to come.

The new beta software gives BlackBerry users the ability to quickly browse thousands of mobile Web sites while on the go, all optimized for their mobile device. Hundreds of media companies use AvantGo to deliver up-to-date politics, news, weather, sports, travel and entertainment to users all over the globe.
