Bodine Electric's engineering team recently developed this new 48 volt AC submersible pump motor for an outdoor application. The motor is completely under water when it is operated. To address the customer's design challenges, Bodine Electric had to develop a unique 48VAC motor winding, and meet all mechanical and environmental requirements for a submersible motor design (IP-58). Bodine Electric's design and logistics expertise allowed us to develop a value-added custom motor solution. Bodine Electric manufactures the winding for this new motor while some of the stainless steel components are sourced from an outside supplier.
